Quite a quick and simple card, with love. Stamp image and sentiment. Add the bird punch leaves and itty bitty flowers, and bling it with pearls. Don't you love simple? I do.

Plums Prunes Damsons - Wozzie Sauce

For my records: I have researched a little and think that these are all a similar plum - Plums Prunes Damsons. Blue plum colour with a yellow green, very dense flesh. Yummy to eat fresh as well.

We have picked a huge amount from a friends place in Gunns Plains. Dried a lot to make a chocolate brownie slice throughout the winter, as well as for cocoa balls. We have eaten a lot fresh and will make jam out of the rest.

I have always wanted to make my own Worcestershire sauce and have followed a Recipe from Sally Wise's website. here

Like she says it smells amazing while cooking....

The garlic, ginger, cloves let alone the brown malt vinegar. amazing...

I think most dark skinned plums would work for this recipe...I'd really like to try out dark fleshy ones next year. Since pruning we haven't got as many plums this year, but we are learning.

I started this post on the weekend and made another batch today. I've made beef stroganoff for tea tonight and have used only two tablespoons of sauce. I must say it tastes amazing. No need for beef stock, and it is so much thicker and richer than the bought one. This will definitely be on my yearly processing recipe list. Yummo.

The Artful Stampers -Team Challenge Blog Hop - Sketch Challenge #73
A gorgeous easy pop together card. A square one at that...easy to make with beautiful Designer Series Paper. Solid coloured flowers and a flagged sentiment. Add sparkle and ready to send. I did change the layout a tiny bit, by overlaying the flag instead.

SAB Card Class for 2016

Wow, I have made so many cards and decided on three of my faves for todays class.

The third one I posted here on the Artful Stampers Blog Hop. (click here) yay...
A total CASE from the SALE-A-Bration Catalogue. A fabulous practice on placement of little stamps to decorate your card.
I love this. Slightly different colours. AND it was fun. Handmade messiness is part of the whole process.

A couple of Pinterest cards in varying ideas mashed together in this one. I adore it.

A little silver heat embossing, on watercolour using ink pad and brush, spritzed in the lid with a water spritzer.
Stamped and hand cut the plane and added the most gorgeous tip from Alisa Tilsner using her propeller idea.
The little love heart with extra accent. I think it came together quite well.

The Artful Stampers -Team Challenge Blog Hop - Theme Challenge #72

I played with numbered cards this hop. There are so many ways to use this set.

Watermelon Wonder and Old Olive...I love how this turned out. you can do anything with these numbers.
I loved and cased a card from Pinterest with the sentiment, such a cute idea.

Pacific Point and Old Olive. The darker blue
background is a scrap of OLD Midnight Muse.

Works well for a boy too, what do you think??

Baby Mary Jane Shoes

My Jessie girl perusing for crochet patterns and fell in love with these booties to practice her crochet. She did really well and then stole my little fox buttons.

I was inspired also and had to have a go myself. Here is the pattern we followed by 1dogwoof and her beautiful double-strapped-baby-mary-janes-crochet-pattern

We loved it and may make some more for our new baby in the family. (Second cousin for those that know us). wink wink.

Jessie's version of the little booties. I think they're beautiful.
The grey white colours matched the tiny
fox buttons, my mum gave me for Christmas.

My version of the little booties, I stole two of hers back...
I loved them, and again they are fast enough for me to sit down
and complete one bootie. We hope "SHE and new hubby"
loves them. Trying to keep to a neutral colour is going to be a tricky one.

Little house

A little house I made for my kitchen window sill... A little therapeutic putting it together. Rocks collected by the kids, lichen and a little air plant. I wonder if I will remember to water it occasionally.

I loved putting it together and I did have a few design issues, but I got there in the end. All in fun.

The Artful Stampers -Team Challenge Blog Hop - Colour Challenge #71

The Artful Stampers -Team Challenge Blog Hop - Colour Challenge #71
I have used the good old Stampin' Up! MDS to produce this lovey layout of my son, Dad and friend.
They took off on a weekend to Stahan, North West Coast of Tassie for a spot of fishing.
Known well for salmon escapees, but they caught their target BIGTIME. A couple of crayfish to boot and school shark.
I have used a "sunburst" as a background and coloured it Sepia to acheive the colour challenge Sahara Sand
(so close it was awesome) I loved playing with this, so sad it is retired, still...

Baby Mittens

These were fun to make. A little faster than I thought. Crocheted in the round, makes it a quick and tidy pattern with a lace edge to allow ribbon to fit to keep the little suckers on. Lovely and warm for toasty pinkies.

I used my usual 8 ply wool and a 4.5mm crochet hook. You can make it smaller or larger by changing your hook and yarn size.

There were so many patterns out there, that I made this one up to suit the yarn I did have.
It is a very easy tube pattern really.

Start with a magic ring.
Round 1: ch 3, make 9 double crochet into ring, slip stitch to join. (10sts)
Round 2: ch 2 then 1 half double crochet in same stitch as chain 2, 2 double crochet into each stitch, join with slip stitch. (20sts)
Rounds 3 - 7: ch 2, 1 half double crochet in each stitch, join with slip stitch. (20sts)

This is the lacey row to accommodate ribbon, if you think your mitt is not long enough, crochet more rounds as for round 3, until you see fit.
Round 8: ch3, 1 double crochet in each stitch, join with slip stitch. (20sts)
Round 9: ch 2, 1 half double crochet in each stitch, join with slip stitch. (20sts)

Sew in ends and thread a your ribbon through every second set of double crochet. Tie a bow, and if you want to sew in a small elastic band to keep it secure. Test the fit before securing the ends.

Recycled times three, glass terrariums

Sometimes I love what I do and try to keep something for myself and my family. I have revamped my amber glass, aquarium rocks and my sad looking cacti. It looks a lot fresher in the kitchen now, Maybe a couple more to fill up the window sill would work.

The Pompom Cupcake Beanie 2

I've knitted another gorgeous Cupcake Beanie with an enormous pompom. Don't you love it. I do. They take forever to knit (in my case) and it is such a lovely and relaxing craft.

The largest pompom I could make, looking hugely enormous from the top. Don't you love it?

AND a pic from the side to place all in proportion at just the right size.

Here is another PINK one I made a while ago.

The Artful Stampers -Team Challenge Blog Hop - Sketch Challenge #70

Cajun Craze a most unusal colour for me to like ...with added Mossy Meadow and the always lovely Mint Macaron.
I've added vellum to soften the Cajun Craze flower. and a not so matching sticky dot...But I think the card still works.
And the oldest and my most smallest Happy Birthday sentiment stamp, did I say favourite too?
A little two step Designer Series Paper Layering. Added a layered sentiment and a couple of leaves to match.
A couple of dragonflies flew past and I was inpsired by my new (garage sale punch, not Stampin' Up!) to place them on.
Basic Rhinestone Jewels to bling it on...Can't wait for the kids to go back to school...
I'll be that lass dancing down the street on their first day, wink wink.
