My week of completions...

This week I completed a few things yay...
But first this is a pic of a little upcycled bag with outside pocket and raggy plaited handle. Jess loves it to store her DS. We made this at her girlfriends house.

A pair of new booties knitted and felted, long time taken. This is the pattern I made for a pair of booties awhile ago and through the felting process, they went haywire. I threw them away when they went out of shape. But this wool worked. The brown booties I sewed together with blanket stitch and beautiful green thread. Love these too. It took longer to sew up than I expected, but was worth the effort.

Another little love of paper, I made for me. I was thinking of selling this one but, I love it too much...
Photos don't do it justice, or I am just a horrible photographer, lol.
some more beaut flowers. love this red.
and another thing I had put away because I didn't know what to do with it. The girls were beading necklaces over the weekend and I thought "that's it". A necklace made out of paper in a choker style. Not to be worn on wet days.
More flowers and musical lillies.
A little cute birdy I knitted from scraps after I completed the little shoulder bag. Pictured below.
Another horse with matching card.
The shoulder bag I knitted with three strands of different wool - stash busting. I designed and knitted as I went along. Very exciting when I put it together and it worked. I embellished with a five petal knitted flower too.

And one more thing I had put away was this. A five intersecting tetrahedra. I couldn't resist finishing it on Friday while Bo was making paper chains at the table. I was supposed to be tidying the house. But it took my fancy to complete it...Took me 3 hours to put in the last two tetrahedras. Again, so much for house work.

The end...
I'd better get back to cleaning now, its Monday...lol have fun. cheers tam.

New shoes in order! The need to shop!

Here's a pic of my shoes after friday night...
Too much jumping around maybe or just tooo old. I got a tad excited bidding for the backyard blitz i won for the cocktail party fundraiser. Went out on the balcony and was a little squishy on the heel. Had a look and left my heel behind. oops. Have the need to shop...

Some gorgeous zebra print flowers, just gorgeous in a huge bunch...
and I had another beaut photo of flowes for pink pepper cafe in somerset and I destroyed it somehow!!!???
They sold straight away. They were pink black charcoal and with some white...Very cute for Mothers day coming up,
Here are some dragonflies I made for them. Match some butterflies would make a cute set...

Flowers to sing by.

Here are some gorgeous flowers made for a beautiful friend. Her father was off to a baby grand piano opening and gave me some old music paper. They worked so well, very fitting for the occasion.
I made the stars out of the scrappy strips and liked them so much I thouhgt I'd try it in colour. the kids loved them. Even Dave said they were "good"... :)

After a big Friday night out I was a litte unwell shall I put it, I knitted a couple of baby hats matching the baby cards I had made earlier. Tried and tested on my little nephew, they are very cute hand knitted on a loom. It takes less time to complete than actual handknitting on needles. The chenille like wool is soo soooft. I have red and black left for me to knit a jacket one day.

I found this I started ages ago in my cleaning of house last week so I completed this one tooo. (But not included in UFO list oops)
oops sideways again.
SOOO yes we went out Friday night to a cocktail party for our school fundraiser and I was a bit excited to dress up -sorry no photo - as we rushed out the door. I made a little hair clip earlier in the day to match a borrowed dress. But a last minute dress change but still wearing it I forgot to get a photo, Would have been lovely as Dave was dressed up too. But sorry this shot missed my face the girls took the photo...

Looked ok, but felt great to be able to fit into a pre kids dress. wow. (Have been losing wieght, yay after 4 years) Had a great night and bid on a backyard blitz and WON!!! yay. All for a good cause...lol. I have so much gardening to dooo...

Anyways all that ramble on must get back to leadlighting. Making a couple of windows for a lovely lady who makes mosaics too. cheers tam. Keep you posted on that one...

More horses

Look what I found when I pulled out my quilting mat!!! arhhhh!!!!
ZANE get me the broom!!! ("but muuum, where is it?") ,

and he did after it crawled across the floor with the girls squealing, I swept him out the door...
I finally finished two more horses for two little boys. A little less pink was good.
and while I was sewing zane did this in lego, too cute... Maybe that could work for me too. Another idea brewing.

upside down but you get my drift...
Another thing that really takes my fancy is recycling items everyone else (most I might add) sees as junk. This window my husband was going to throw out. I said "nooo i could use that". I dreamed of gardens and secret mirrors looking into other worlds... It came from our old shed. I have a beautiful pic of my dad in front of... Anyway here's the mirrored window. I just have to putty together and paint it. And then paint the wall I would like to place it on. SOOON...Maybe while hubby is away this weekend fishing. Sounds easy if it doesn't rain.
Loving it, Cheers tam.

Recycling we love it

half the bunting

the other half

the whole things fits nicely over the door.

and again

my kids having a go while i make flowers with milk lids...

the flowers

and ball out of the same book.
Just love playing with paper and all sorts. Getting ready for a recycling brainstorming for tonight. A few things for show that may inspire day carers. I have been invited to talk and explore recycling as a craft (is what i love doing most tooo) to daycarers. Even though some of these items are a little advanced for little hands I hope to get them thinking about recycling products.

What do you use the most??

We keep the shells and egg carton, and plant beans, peas, broccoli, (list is endless) in them with seed raising mix and then when big enough, poke a hole in bottom of shell and plant as is. But if the snails eat them you can see where it was, lol. We painted ours pink first. just gorgeous.

broccoli

broccoli planted in shell in place

Drink a lot of milk?? Plant the bottom half of the containers with seedlings and use the top half for a watering can (with lid attached). Or just use the lids up after washing for sorting and craft with the kids. The kids love watering...

beans
and beans
and some peas, the kids love shelling them and we feed the shells to the chookies tooo.

Tammy take it off again, They've all gone away.

Thanks Nellie for a lovely morning chat about dear husbands and craft and the coffee..
It was wonderful sharing, and all men are men, and we women are especially crafty. Don't stop crafting and make them go away - for a little bit...

Here is a little UFO I have finished which I should have finished last October for my youngests birthday. I have embellished the tea pot with tea bags and tea cups. Doilies are all the rage and I found some at our tip shop to also decorate as saucers. I had other things in mind for the doilies, but here they sit. I thought this was fitting for our lovely little chat... Cheers to Nellie put the kettle on.
love to all Tam.

Red Shoes

Doen't everyone own or would love to own a pair of red shoes???

Just gorgeous. Such a beautiful red. Pity the sun wasn't shining when i took the photo. My next job will be to clean the windows. Arghhh after the small summer we had, they are filthy with the dust and windy rain.

The next little item I have made was inspired from a friend and she has some wonderful ideas. We are having a very reindeery year this year. Very cute and will make more when I get round to it.
And one more gorgeous photo I just have to share of my most beautiful things living in my life. My babies. They are growing so too fast. This is Bo (the middle pictured), my youngest, starting kinder this year.
have fun cheers tam.
