Card Making Day # 2

It was a lovely day, had by me and my girly friends...

We made 3 beautiful cards and ate soup and talked about our businessess and other business stuff. As we crafties all know we don't make millions. We make smiles for others...

Here are the three cards we made today. Have fun looking.

I have blogged this card recently for Artful Stampers annual blog hop. I have used pearls instead of gems and love them.

I also love this santa card also using the Stampin' Up manhatten flower embossing folder, and the butterflies embosslits for the moustache...:)

This card is showing a new In Colour for this year, Primrose Petals, with the very versatile neutral range of colours sahara sand and chocloate chip...Any light neutral would work with a dark neutral here.

And that is it for today...I did have a little practice this morning before the girls turned up with the manhatten flower white on white card BUT in "real red" on red, and failed....I don't like it...needs something else, what do you think?

The Artful Stampers ~ Annual Catalogue Blog Hop.

It’s Stampin’ Up’s! New Annual Catalogue Time!!!  To celebrate, some of our Team – The Artful Stampers – are sharing fabulous projects showcasing a selection of the gorgeous new products available in the 2012-2013 Catalogue!!

You may have hopped here from Carolyn Bennie's Blog.  I’m stop 13 out of 14 on the Hop and I’m glad you “hopped” in.

Thank you for visiting and if you'd like to leave a comment I'd be very pleased to hear what you think of the new catalogue and products.

Here is my pick:
Hand cut the embossed Manhatten flower at the top and the bottom and adhere to card with dimensionals. Trimmed the corners of the card with round corner punch and SNAIL adhesive was used for the butterflies to the blank area. I also added 3 gems to the largest butterfly. I love this plain look and it will work with any single colour.

The Beautiful Stampin' Up product I used:
This colour is whisper white page 156, code 106550, 40 sheets A4 $14.95
with the butterfly embosslit folder page 188 code 118138, $20.95
the beautiful Manhattan flower folder page 189 code 114517, $13.95
also used to adhere SNAIL adhesive page 177, code 104332, $11.95
and Stampin' Dimensionals page 177, code 104430, $6.95
and to glitterize it with Rhinestone Basic Jewels page 175, code 119246 $8.95
and the finishing touch I used the 3/16" (5mm) corner punch page 183, code 119871, $11.95
AND of course the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine page 186, code 113439, $only 149.95...

and to send it in, Whisper White C6 envelopes page 160, code 106588, $10.95 for 40

Cheers Tamsin.

Dasher Stampin' Up early christmas card

How many cards do you make before you come up with your favourite?...

It takes me forever and I thought I would share my play today...I have also tried new photography...still quite simple, or else it wont work for me...It has to be fast, otherwise my girls get in my stash, lol. I do love them and they do help, ~ sometimes...

Here's a pic: not the best but I'll practice on that front too...

My favourite is the one in front to the right...with the Joy on a little banner...

AND I had a little play with a layout I liked on Pinterest and the colours of another one I liked there too. SOoo I mashed them together... Which I love too.
Here you go:

I could probably add more gems to the flowers too...Have fun playing. cheers Tam...

Just a quick pic of what I did today instead of cleaning up, ooopsie....cheers Tam.

scored envelopes with the bird

I have tried to tidy up my dining table but to no avail.
I have been on the phone with work and then thought maybe I should tidy up a bit...

But I managed to squeeze out a few gorgeous cards as Thankyou notelets with matching Designer Series Paper. I have used up a lot of my stash making room for the new gear to arrive, in the last couple of days...yay...I have designed the DSP (Designer Series Paper) envelope and card to fit my new clear plastic resealable bags. Love it...

Here is a little pic. Cheers Tam. Off to fold more flowers.

A quickie update: I have trashed a few and done a couple, yay. back to work for me...

1 hot water bottle for Jess
2 a little reindeer
3 santa stocking for my newest nephew
4 a red knitted cable bag for me  DONE FOR and PULLED apart to use the wool for some little gnomes...TRASHED.
5 a wizard x-stitch on black i have had for years DONE FOR.
6 a tapestry of the creswick mine - that my sister started
7 knit myself a jacket - I have two started  1 is DONE FOR, I did knit and it was hideously ugly...not good. TRASHED.
8 clean my room, DONE FOR....yay. and the kids and the lounge and the kitchen, nearly!!!
9 start and complete my dream to have a second lampshade in the lounge room.
10 that will do for now...   omgosh.

its raining its pouring so i am making jam.

Just a quickie.
To do when its raining: (which again was a couple of weeks months ago. How do you put photos in here quick? i cant seem to and then i lose interest...):
Cook.
I have jam, blackberry. But only half as much as last year even less. The council have sprayed off our favourite blackberry collecting spot. And they are all DEAD....cry sob...
But we managed to find a few spots on our own 7 acres and the next door neighbours, shhh don't tell...

Here is a little pic.

And now to swap with a friend who has made logan berry jam. yummo on scones with cream.
Now off to cook some scones yay...Maybe I'll have to update with a pic later...have fun in the rain. Oh and the next cook up will be pears, the kids collected them today. A busy cooking time ahead.

and a small update, since I wrote those words ages ago..
The pears are about to be eaten or made into wine...yummo.
Cheers Tamsin. Wish i had a faster computer.....argghhh
