New garden makeover

Wow I thought we would never get finished. BUT we did it. AND now I have it planted out already. Very inspired to be able to let the sun shine inside the house.

My friend and I started chopping the tree away from the powerlines as part or our Horticulture course project. AND then I called on my husband to help me with the finishing touches, WELL, I just went berserk...

The trees were gorgeous and we realised that we had a lot of privacy, but I really wanted a better light for the inside of the house for winter. Now it is summer it is sooo bright. We all love it.

Everybody passing by, can now see we need to paint the house...ANOTHER job finished, and another job to start. Where it takes you is amazing.

Have fun. will post again sometime down the track on the progress of the garden. Watering like mad. :)

From "Over the road". What a huge job we accomplished.

From the front porch looking towards "over the road".

The Artful Stampers -Team Challenge Blog Hop - Colour Challenge #56

The Artful Stampers -Team Challenge Blog Hop - Colour Challenge #56

A really simple and easy easy card. These colours suit the Very Vanilla base colour very very well.
I haven't used this stamp and punch set in a while. No bling or embellishments for a change, and I don't think it needs it.

Enjoy the hop. As I clean up my garden for a snake free summer...

The Artful Stampers -Team Challenge Blog Hop 53 - Sketch Challenge #53

The Artful Stampers -Team Challenge Blog Hop 49 - Sketch Challenge #53
Due to lack of supplies while on holiday I thought I would use MDS again for this sketch challenge. AND when I get home I will add a made card to this post, hopefully...

Here is my challenge:
What a gorgeous display. This year the rhodo's and azaleas in my garden are going to be beautiful.
The parrots have missed our tree this year and we have beautiful full cherry blossoms this season.
And the chooks love resting on my seat.
Have a lovely start to the week.

The Artful Stampers -Team Challenge Blog Hop - Colour Challenge #52

52 weeks in a row woohoo. Every single week for a whole year since we started hopping... AND I liked it.
The Artful Stampers -Team Challenge Blog Hop - Colour Challenge #52
My first attempt at using the Dino Rawr stamp set, so gorgeous the two set stamps...
My ink pads were a tad juicy for these photopolymer stamps.
SO to get over the messiness I sponged off the ink, by swiping them over the pad for the little leaf stamp, it gave the stamp more texture which I did like.
I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop.
I hope I get better at taking photos soon...I have another plan wink wink.

The Artful Stampers -Team Challenge Blog Hop - Colour Challenge #50

The Artful Stampers -Team Challenge Blog Hop - Colour Challenge #50

A CAS from an idea I saw on Pinterest. I thought the colours go so well together with this single and lovely card. I woud have had more time to play if it wasn't such a beautiful flat and sunny day. (flat I mean sea wise, and no wind...) I wish we were fish'n. Have a lovely start to the week.

A teeny gift box

I love it when you see something beautiful and JUST have to have a go...Yep and it never turns out exactly, but that's ok, cause it becomes "yours"...so to speak.

Here is what I whipped up over the weekend as a quickie mini treat holder. I think it would hold a mini mars bars or two maybe. Not having the choccies, I haven't actually tried, BUT I will let you know next time I go shopping.

Old DSP, but I love it...

New mini holiday catalogue case

I love the new mini holiday catalogue. Here's a quick card I whipped up for the fun of it.

I have used the new Watermelon Wonder on the old chevron stamp and inked the edges of the whisper white with the Black ink and the new mini holiday catalogue stamp "If the Broom Fits". Mounted onto old black and cream patterned paper with a little twine and a bat. This is cut with the butterfly punch, twice. Too cute.

We don't normally celebrate Halloween here, but I thought it too cute not to share.
