Lots of lillies.

Just finished 100 lillies. Wow that is a lot. I asked husband how many do you reckon, and he said 70. not bad I guessed 50 and then I counted them.

In the last few days while being outside in the sun out of the wind digging in the vegie patch (and it is hard) i finished another ball while resting. Pictured above.

A friend visited today and we talked about hydroponics especially carrots. I thought this I might have to try. Normally they being underground and dirty, hard to pull and lots of weeding and watering. Mine never do very well. SO the good thing was no weeding no digging and breaking your back and you would be recycling water. All sounds a bit easy- might give it a go...Maybe I am dreaming again. and I am.

Here are some more flowers I have finished over the last few weeks. Recycled paper old books - crumbling folds and a musical book of ancient days. It was for sale 4'6 once. Wow that is old. I cut it up because it was nearly ruined. And the last piccy is of some cheap paper I bought once from a shop and wondered what to do with it.

Have a good night as I dream up how to rig a hyrdroponic system for carrot growing, hmmm yum carrots. Maybe in time for easter
Getting a little excited
This could work...
Cheers tam.

more papery thingys.

I love making things for people when the kids are being good and for "their" friends too.
And sometimes we see something in a shop that we think is a good thing for a pressie too. SOOO here i matched some colours for a little extra. She is learning the piano. The thong is a manicure set. Just getting into looking beautiful. And a matching card.
Some more flowers I might sell, the origami lilly attached to florists wire in red and silver. I love these in this vase. Matches my TV area.

Flash on

Flash off
And one more little thing that is really time consuming that my husband can't see the point of...BUT I love doing. Are the flower balls (above). There you go. Said i was going to be very soon, hahaha. Cheers tam.

Horses and Blackberry jam ...

The girls sooo wanted me to make a horsey after i showed them a borrowed pattern (thanks Janelle)
and they chose the colours and how gorgeous they are. They giggled all night with them in bed. Too cute...

One is called diamante and the other is called starry...

Then we went blackberry Picking and now I have made gazillions of blackberry jam. Yummo. And the whole family helped pick them...
Boiling took a little longer than I anticipated and after bottling I eventually went to bed after midnight, before my baby's first day of kinder.
The kids woke around nine 'o' clock and they absolutely had to have a taste test, yummo...

The pot was a little overfull and I had to split them into two pots, arghhh the dishes. But did it anyways...
and a few left for family and friends....cheers tam.
Next will be some paper craft sometime very soon. cheers again tam.

Love is in the air

I had the need to play with paper today and I got going with an old book no-one has read in a loooong time. I also had a vision of making coloured meringues and gluing them together with white chocolate, but i didn't get that far.
We went to the beach instead. I collected some seaweed while the kids played in it and the water... Not a good swimming spot - sorry kids...
anyways here's a couple of pics of the chain of hearts

And then  I got excited and made a couple of loopy hearts out of a Florence Nightingale book. I thought that was fitting.

And then after I exhausted myself in the garden mowing our bank - near my favourite spot, on the rocks, I decided to make a little bag for my nephew from a friends stash she dropped off to me. How exciting - more stuff to play with.
I thought of matching some pj's to go with them. see how i feel tomorrow. Here you go some more pics.

A very simple little rectangular bag with inside pockets for other things. A long handle to accomodate growth. I know it probably won't last that long, but a cute idea.
OOHHH and i nearly forgot. the last UFO i chucked out. It did not go well in the wash. One booty was longer than the other and out of shape. I don't know what happened to it but was way tooo ugly.... lol.
Next UFO ( must make a list somehow) is the newly started reindeer. Is very cute and i have visions (again) of making 12, but we will see after one...
Cheers again. tam.

Knitting again...

Just completed knitting DS covers for the kiddies. They really really wanted covers for their machines and i thought we had spent enough money for the time right now. SO we went to spotlight to find the best buttons ever and then i knitted coordinating colours to match the buttons too. Designed and fitted by me and the kids love them. LUCKY!!

Here they are...
before buttons attached.

all they need now is a press stud.
I should have put in a button hole in the flap and then sewed the button onto the bottom part. Oh well, will next time. have fun.

cheers tam.

AND AGAIN I just might add that I have knitted these two scarves over the last few days too. So much for UFO's. I'll get them out tonight, off to the garden I'm going, while no rain... Cheers again. tam.
